Glyncollen Primary School is situated in the Parc Gwernfadog Estate of Morriston. The school is fortunate to be sited within extensive and beautiful grounds, which enhance the learning environment. We believe learning is achieved through direct experience, with the child’s needs placed at the heart of all we do. Central to this is that children learn best when they feel safe, happy and secure in the environment we strive to provide. Thinking is central to developing independent learners and we encourage reflective thinking within the children to extend and challenge them.

The broad curriculum is the platform on which we ensure ALL children are able to be stimulated, motivated and to celebrate their talents. This is crucial to the development and maintenance of self esteem, self belief and motivation, which are vital to achievement and developing a drive to succeed.Mutual respect forms the basis for all our learning and the partnerships we have with parents/carers and the community enables us to achieve the standards which are hallmarks of the school.
