Welcome to Our Reception Page
Last year, we were part of a Forest School's project for this academic year. We spent the first 3 weeks in our woods and now we go to a large forest school site. The activities we have undertaken include:

mask making

toasting marshmallows & making popcorn

painting

exploring trees and creatures in the woods
We are fortunate to have a new conservatory area in our classroom.
Out in the conservatory we enjoy playing with a range of resources,
- construction, cars and trains, animals, and in the den.
The conservatory is a great place to listen to the rain. 
Our learning in maths takes place inside and outside and through a range of activities. We enjoy looking for hidden numbers, making large numbers and playing maths games on the interactive whiteboard.
We enjoy putting on our special 'design' clothes and planning our learning areas.
We have drawn a range of plans and maps to show how we want our learning areas to be.
In our classroom we have planned a cafe, we vistited Wyevale Garden Centre cafe to see how a cafe works.
Mrs Bevan works with us to help us understand different emotions.
We listen to Moppy stories and talk about different feelings.
We have made sad and happy Moppies.
We have been learning about our senses and carrying out activities to explore them. We have enjoyed using magnifying glasses to look closely at objects and have made observational drawings and hedgehogs from natural materials.
