Welcome to Our Year 4 Class Page

Last May the Yr.4 children visited Morriston Library where they were given a talk by

Librarian talking about St.Lucia.

Mrs. Susan Davies, one of the librarians there,

about her recent holiday to St.Lucia.

The class have enjoyed studying the island as part of their Geography theme.

Mrs.Davies gave a wonderful slide show presentation and the children asked lots of questions at the end. Slideshow of St.Lucia.
Morriston Library welcomes Glyncollen Primary School.

Everyone had squash and biscuits before returning to school.

Over the Easter holidays Yr.4 were given a project to design and make a typical St.Lucia house.

Three Yr.4 children with their St.Lucia model houses.

The results were outstanding and all are now proudly on display in the classroom.
There are obviously some highly creative pupils (and adults!) in this class. Well done everyone.

In class the children have been observing the life cycle of a caterpillar. Each child had their own caterpillar, which they named and carefully watched, measured and recorded its growth before it formed a chrysalis.

A chrysalis.

Everyone is eagerly awaiting to see if they will turn into butterflies - hopefully before 1/2 term!

We recently had an Eco-Fete in school to raise money for our sensory garden.
The children had a great time designing glass pebbles, painting & decorating flower pots

and making gift tags, all of which were sold in the fete.

Handmade painted flower pots and glass pebbles.Handmade gift tags and cards.

The glass pebbles were very attractive & sold like hot cakes.

Get your orders in early before the next fete.
